METER TESTING

Every effort is made to maintain a high standard of accuracy by routine meter testing, spot testing and testing by member request. When meter testing is requested by a member, a fee for single-phase meters will be charged. If the meter is found to be inaccurate (Greater than plus or minus 2%), the test fee will be refunded, otherwise the fee will be held.

MARKETING PROGRAMS

From time to time, the cooperative offers special marketing programs for members. These programs have included water heater rebates, heat pump rebates and rebates on security lights. Inquire with the cooperative for specific programs in effect.

WATER HEATERS

Energy efficient hydrostone VAUGHN water heaters are available for purchase from the Co-op. Members can receive up to a $100 rebate for installation cost.

BUDGET BILLING

This payment allows a member to pay the same amount each month by averaging their bill over the last 12 months. This will bring the highest bills down and the lowest bills up so a member still pays for the exact amount of electricity used.

BANK DRAFTS

Your co-op can notify your bank of the amount of your electric bill. Payment is made from the members bank account directly to the co-op. A bill is still sent to the member to show how much electricity was used and the total amount of the bill.

NIGHT DEPOSIT

A night deposit box is located at the headquarters office in Farmville, NC and the branch office in Snow Hill, NC. Payments may be made in these boxes after office hours, weekends and holidays.

SPEAKERS BUREAU

Pitt & Greene EMC representatives are available to schools, civic groups, and other organizations to present programs on a variety of subjects.

PAYMENT BY CREDIT CARDS

Pitt & Greene EMC will accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express for payment of electric bill’s.
